Collagen is a naturally occurring protein found in the human body with approximately 30% of protein mass in mammals being collagen. It is a key structural protein found in connective and supportive tissues such as bones, tendons, ligaments, and skin. [1]

Collagen is best stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place, such as a cabinet. Indigo Marine Collagen has shelf-life of 2 years if stored in these conditions.

Yes, Indigo Marine Collagen is safe for children to consume, however, we always recommend consulting your child's pediatrician before taking any new supplements. Please be mindful that Indigo contains fish, so If your child has an allergy to fish please avoid using this product.

In order to make sure you a realizing results from Indigo Marine Collagen, we recommend using the product for no less than 28 days. Studies have shown that collagen peptides can provide positive effects at 4 weeks, but also greater effects over time up to 12 weeks. [1] With age, however, our bodies ability to naturally restore collagen decreases, so supplementing with Type I peptides, such as those in Indigo, is one way to counter this effect of aging. [2] There is no need to cycle off after extended use of Indigo Marine Collagen.

We recommend using 10g of Indigo Marine Collagen per day to see improvements in your hair, skin, and nails.[1]

We recommend adding Indigo to your coffee, smoothie, of beverage of choice for an additional protein boost. Indigo can also be added to some of your favorite recipes for cooking and baking.

"Type I Collagen is the most abundant in the human body: it forms more than 90% of bone organic mass and it is the major collagen of tendons, ligaments, cornea and many interstitial connective tissues. It is also the main component of human skin (80%) with collagen type III making up the remainder of skin collagen (15%)." As we age we lose more the Type I collagen fibers in our skin, which results in a distorted ratio of collagen type in the skin. Supplementing with Indigo Marine Collage, which is predominately Type I collagen, can help hydrate and firm our skin.

Indigo Marine Collagen is safe! Each batch is tested by a third party to ensure that it meets all label claims and specifications. We test for heavy metals (arsenic, copper, lead, mercury) and microorganisms such as E.Coli and Salmonella. Please note that Indigo Marine Collagen is derived from white fish, so if you have a fish allergen please do not use this product.

Authorization for product returns must be approved by Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition North America, Inc. Customer Service Department. Unopened packages may be returned within two weeks (10 working days) of receipt of Products. Please contact us at customerservice@indigocollagen.com to initiate a return of your product.

Opened Product may only be returned if the product is defective. Customer Service must be notified within 30 days of the defect to approve the return. Please contact us at customerservice@indigocollagen.com to initiate a return of your product.

Products will be shipped via UPS unless otherwise specified at time of order and shall be deemed delivered to the user when delivered to the transportation company at the shipping point. 

User will be provided with an expected ship date upon order. This date constitutes a good faith estimate and is not binding. Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition North America, Inc. will notify the User in a timely fashion if ordered goods are not available.
